iMagic Inventory

Managing inventory items and billing clients can mean a large pile of paperwork, but you can avoid it by using specialized software. Deciding which one to use can be difficult because some of them are too complex, while others are too basic. iMagic Inventory makes it possible to add your inventory goods and customers to its database and use them to create invoices and generate reports. At a first glance, these are the only options on the software's interface, but you can find many more in its top menus.

The software works on any computer, powered by Windows XP, Vista or Win 7. Its installation kit is 15.6 Mb large and the setup process involves basic steps, like selecting a destination folder or creating shortcuts.

You can manage invoices, customers and inventory items on the same interface, in separate sections. If you build up your customers and goods databases, it will be much easier to create invoices. To add new customers or inventory items, you only need to fill in a series of fields. You can specify the customer's name, address, phone, email and more information or an item's name, description, barcode, sales and purchase prices, tax rate and so on. Inserted items or contacts are listed in the central region of the interface, along with some of their descriptions.

Creating an invoice is also done by specifying numerous details. If the goods and customers are already in your database, you can select them, on separate windows, and most of the fields will be filled in automatically. Before saving or printing the invoice, you may select a payment method, add notes and prices. It is possible to create quotes as well, using the same options. Invoices are listed the same way as customers or inventory goods and you can filter them to show unpaid ones or quotes.

iMagic Inventory can generate numerous reports as well. If you access the Reports section, you can find anything, from graphs to lists and reports on sales or customers, in a long list, and you just need to click one of these entries to display it in the larger area of the interface. The reports can be printed or saved as a HTML, PDF or plain text file.

The software also includes a flexible search function which you can use to find invoices, customers or goods, using various parameters. You can add other information to your database, like vendors, and back up the database. Additionally, the program lets you import inventory items, customers and invoices from CSV files on your hard drive.
